Agreement

These terms apply to this site, published by Bockius Ventures LLC, a Texas limited liability company. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Estimates, not advice

Every tool produces an estimate from the numbers you enter and from the published figures we cite, such as ENERGY STAR data, manufacturer specifications and NREL solar data. Real runtime and solar output vary with the actual appliance, its age and settings, temperature, battery condition, weather and how panels are placed.

Nothing on Wattcellar is electrical, engineering, financial or medical advice. Don't connect a power station to your home's wiring except through equipment installed by a licensed electrician. Never run a fuel generator indoors. If you rely on powered medical equipment, plan your backup power with your doctor and equipment supplier; see CPAP and oxygen.

Using the site

You may use the tools for personal and commercial purposes, including planning for customers or clients. Please don't attempt to disrupt the site, get around its security, or overload it with automated requests. Search engines and AI assistants may crawl and cite the site as described in our robots.txt file.

Content and design

The site's text, design, code and graphics are owned by Bockius Ventures LLC unless noted otherwise. You may quote short passages with a link back to the page. Lists and results you create belong to you.

Data license

Our downloadable data tables (the CSV files linked from the station specs and solar recharge pages) and the computed figures in them are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). Credit "Wattcellar" with a link to the page. The underlying source figures belong to their publishers (for example the station makers, ENERGY STAR and NREL); check their terms before reusing them directly.

Third-party links and affiliate programs

We link to other websites, including retailers, sometimes through affiliate programs (see the affiliate disclosure). We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, products, prices or policies. Purchases you make are between you and the retailer.

No warranty

The site and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We work to keep figures correct and dated, but we don't guarantee that any result is accurate, complete or current.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Bockius Ventures LLC and its members won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to $100. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
